Sister Rodriguez Mission Adventures in New Caledonia

Bonjour!!! So it's been less than 3 days but it's felt like at least a week and a half has gone by! They pack so much into each day, it's crazy! I go to class and then eat and then study and then more class and then eat, it's great! I found out Friday's are my p-day (preparation day) so while I am in the MTC Friday's will probably be the day I will send emails. Right when I got to the MTC my teacher, Soeur Hunt only spoke to us in French. Suprisingly I felt like I actually understood a lot, but since then I've learned how to pray in French, and kind of how to teach in French. I teach my first investigator tonight for 15 minutes (in French) 😳, but I'm excited!  Everyone is so nice and welcoming here! My companion is sister Peterson. Saying goodbye to the fam at the MTC curb.  Mom's eyes are almost swollen shut from crying.  And just a few short hours later I had a quick few minutes to write my first email: I am here at the MTC and they've got me started right away! After I write this email I am going right to French class! I love you guys lots! Thanks for making my sending off to the MTC so special, you guys are awesome, I miss you already! March 7, 2017..."Your are hearby called to serve as a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day-Saints.  You are assigned to labor in the Vanuatu Port Vila Misson.  I addition to your calling to share the gospel, you will be assigned to serve in the New Caledonia Mission Region." WOW!  AWESOME!  oh...but where is New Caledonia????????? Sister Rodriguez entered the Missionary Training Center on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 Soon after she entered she sent one quick email to reassure her family she was safe and sound! Bonjour!  I am here at the MTC! And they've got me started right away! After I write this email I am going right to french class! I love you guys lots!
