Not quite like American Ward Conference

okay this week hmmmmm what happened this week,
oh! okay so we have a new investigator, her name is Terese, we found an old fils (or paper that we use to keep track of the lessons that we have taught to people) from 2012, she had already had 3 lessons but it was a long time ago, so we went to knock on the door, and she welcomed us to come back another day, she said that the missionaries had just never come back after the 3 lessons, and that she had seen missionaires on the street mutliple times since then but never talked to them. The first lesser on went well, we taught the restoration of the church, and i asked her if she believed in Christ, and she said, "yes, i saw jesus" my companion and i were kind of taken aback and we said, "oh, wait actually" from there she told her story. between the time she had last seen the missionaires and now, she had been in an accident and was in a coma for a week, she said that during this time she had talked to jesus, and that Jesus had told here that her time was not finished on the earth and that she needed to raise her kids (she has 6 kids), she said that he had said a lot of things and that she recognizes the need for us to come unto christ. it was really cool talking to her and hearing her experience and also teaching her of the gospel and attempting to further her understanding of Jesus and his gospel. We are praying that she will be open to the idea of there being one true gospel on the earth, the church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints, and that she will share it with her family as well, pray for her and for us to be able to teach effectively!
When we were teaching the plan of salvation to Terese, (our second lesson)   I had the opportunity to testify of the truthfulness of the plan of salvation and how grateful i was to grow up with the knowledge of it in my life.
other things this week, we had a couple missionary leave to return to utah, the Glades, we are going to miss them so much, they were the best! But this saturday was ward conference, so it was pretty much just a big party for the Glades and for the ward, there were lots of dances, lots of food and decorations, it was so cool! definitley not like ward conference in america haha
other things, hmmm french is coming, we were playing volleyball, and we have to play in our proselyting clothes, since it was with the members, so i am playing in a skirt and i cant jump, but one of the youth in the ward stewart he keeps setting me up so that i will spike it, but i cant jump since i am in a skirt so i keep bumbing it then he says "un jour, elle va frapper le ballon" or something like that saying one of these times i will hit it, and then i explained "je mets une jupe, je ne peut pas jump" saying i am wearing a skirt so i cant jump, he looked surprised and so oh wait, she understood, haha so little by little i am no longer completely in the dark. one time during a lesson with two youth, after i had bore my testimony, one of the whispered to the other "tu as compris?" saying "you understood?" that kind of hurt a little bit, but c'est la vie, and life goes on haha so french, i guess it depends on the day. But i do believe in the gift of tongues, when i am happy, positive, not contentious, and can feel the spirit really strongly the language comes a lot more naturally and i understand a lot more, than when i am feeling contentious or frustrated. The gift of tongues is a gift of the spirit and i am thankful for it.

ps favorite scripture for the week 1 nephi 16:29 its by the small and simple things that god brings about great works. i try to remind myself that even when my efforts may seem hopeless or inaffective, avery little act and effort i have or the little that i am able to do, can bring about great things. keep on doing the little things, and never forget that your efforts never go unnoticed.
