"YOU IS BEAUTIFUL"

well this week has been really good. It was general conference so all of saturday and pretty much all of sunday we just watched general conference at the chapel! it was so nice to hear the voices of the apostels and to hear from our leaders. I dont think i have ever enjoyed conference so much until i watched it here on the mission.

Besides that, this week was filled with a lot of contacting, we have been knocking tons of doors, trying to talk to everyone on the street, and also think of creative new things to do. Soeur Chard and i set up a family history table at the park, and just had people write down why they love their family and then we explained to them how they can know that their family can be together for ever, it was fun and we did have a fair amount of people that came up to us and just had the chance to talk about their family! the banner "aimez vous votre famille?" means "do you love your family?"

in other news, this week is the vacation for all the kids on the island, so there have been a lot of kids outside. I am not really sure how they know, but i guess just by looking at us they know we are american, so they will come up to us and just start practicing english with us they are funny. As we were leaving a big group of maybe 10 kids, one of them yelled out "YOU IS BEAUTIFUL!" that made our day haha

This morning we did a fun hike called Chapeau gendarn it was super steep, but super cool and had an awesome view at the top. also at the top there were some kanak kids that asked to take a selfie with us so we said yes, and then of course took a sefie as well!

If there is anything that i learned in conference it is that miracles do exist (Elder Hallstroms talk sunday morning session). He defined a miracle as "a beneficial event brought about by divine power that mortals do not understand." His talk gave me a lot of hope, and made me realize that i should be praying for miracles in my missionary work everyday, and to also be looking for them! miracles are still on the earth,  i know that to be true. This week Soeur Chard and i have really been working on just finding people to teach, and finding by the spirit and i honestly do think we have been blessed with miraces because of it. I am keeping my eye out for miracles and tender mercies this week and i will let you know what we have been blessed with next week.
photos from our hike, and another photo for zone conference last week, that is our zone, and our fam bam photo!
